Project description:
Tea & Tranquility is a free, community-based mindfulness and self-care program held at local libraries and community centers in the Gorge.
The program began as a series of gatherings at local libraries and later continued as self-care circles at the Hood River Adult Center, libraries in Hood River and The Dalles, and in White Salmon.
Sessions included simple mindfulness activities such as meditation, reflection, and sharing tea. Some sessions also included optional group reading and discussion.
The gatherings provided time for people to connect, slow down, and practice simple ways to manage stress and support their well-being.
The program was led by Emily Martin, a certified mindfulness meditation teacher with six years of experience.
There should be more of these because these things (connection and sharing) are deeply needed in our society.
